UK launches aid campaign to rid Nigeria of malaria by distributing life saving bednets
04 09 2009 With support from several donors, led by £50 million in UKaid, two insecticide treated bed nets will be distributed to every Nigerian household by December 2010, reaching over 30 million homes and saving thousands of lives.

04 09 2009 Ray Chambers, the Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Malaria, is confident of that the international community would achieve its goal of providing providing all sub-Saharan African countries where the disease is endemic with universal access to insecticide-treated bed nets, indoor spraying and treatment by the end of next year.
