USDA SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH PHILIPPINES ON
AGRICULTURAL COOPERATION
24 06 2008 Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer today signed a memorandum of agreement with Philippine Agriculture Secretary Arthur C. Yap to promote agricultural trade and investment between the two countries. The objective is to advance agricultural cooperation, productivity and sustainable natural resource management through science and technology collaboration. In addition to the memorandum, USDA will sponsor a trade and investment mission to the Philippines sometime in the fall.

FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008
23 06 2008 The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) today announced funding allocations totaling more than $1.4 million to 13 organizations under the fiscal year 2008 Quality Samples Program (QSP). RECORD $108.5 BILLION AGRICULTURAL EXPORTS FORECAST FOR 2008
30 05 2008 U.S. Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer today announced an updated quarterly forecast for U.S. agricultural exports â€' expected to reach a record $108.5 billion for fiscal year 2008. Today's upward revision is a $7.5 billion increase from February's previous record forecast and $26.5 billion above the final 2007 exports. Grains and animal products account for two-thirds of the export gains.
