In this July 11, 2008, file photo, a giant glacier is seen making its way to the waters of Croaker Bay on Devon Island. Global economic woes could halt efforts to control global warming. Economic troubles will make it tougher to pass legislation capping heat-trapping gases and could delay when reductions would start, according to lawmakers, environmentalists and industry representatives. (AP) -- Attempts to tackle global warming are being made more difficult by the spreading economic crisis even as Democratic congressional leaders say it's still a top goal for next year.

There are very good solutions for this: consuming less. There a many areas where this is possible and the most effective ones are to buy less fuel, using it less often. This means drive more intelligently and efficiently less often. It also mean where a sweater at home if you are a little cold and other very effecitve tactics like these.

Now that people don't have the spare income to waist on futile feel-good projects we can forget about AGW instead of preparing for natural climate variation.

And these are simple economically feasible things to do. I don't think anyone from the AGW nor the anti-AGW camp will have anything negative to say about it, besides, anyone who lived through economic hardship in the past already practices the above.

Perhaps now we can put the other more radical and economic stifling processes to rest.

If we could kick-start the suns sunspot cycle we could reverse the 10 yr cooling the earth has been experiencing and Gore could make even more money jetting around the world spreading snake oil information. READ!
