BEIJING, Oct. 12 -- Bankers and investors around
the world are deeply concerned about their prospects. This is despite the joint
efforts made by major central banks recently to cut interest rates and buy out
troubled banks.
In New York, Wall Street banks say this past week was
a nightmare, with stocks falling to their lowest point since August 2003.
Besides bankers, investors are also concerned about
the financial storm, which could make their investments worthless.
In Britain, the stock market tumble and job losses in
the financial sector have given analysts pause about the future.
With an unpromising economic future, some Britons
have even changed their dining habits to save some much needed money.
And over in Germany, investors are also worrying that
the world may take years to solve and recover from its financial problems,
impacting everyone's life in the process.
