Companies behind on biofuel reporting

Report: several oil companies failing to report biofuels meeting environmental standards

Oil companies including BP and Esso are currently not reporting any of their biofuels as meeting environmental standards under the UK’s Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation, says a report from the government’s Renewable Fuels Agency. While almost all companies are achieving or exceeding carbon savings targets, Prax and Topaz have failed to report the origins of their biofuels, and along with Esso and Petroplus are meeting none of the government’s targets.
