LSE launches climate change research institute
Nicholas Stern will lead production of research and analysis on responses to warming
Lord Nicholas Stern will lead a newly-established institute researching how society, the government, and the economy can respond to climate change, announced the
London School of Economics and Political Science this week. The
Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment is being funded in part by a £3 million investment from reinsurance firm Munich Re, as well as over £5 million from the
Economic and Social Research Council and £12 million from philanthropists Jeremy and Hannelore Grantham.
