The Jamaica Consular Office will host a public discussion forum next week to address critical issues affecting Jamaican residents and other nationalities, particularly work permit holders in the Cayman Islands,

The Consular Office says that the primary purpose of the meeting is to address health care and health insurance issues, with useful information and possible solutions.

Persons attending the meeting will receive up–to–date information on all of the issues from a panel of resource persons, including the Acting CEO of the Health Services Authority Lizzette Yearwood; Superintendent of Health Insurance Mervyn Conolly; and Chief Immigration Officer, Mr. Franz Manderson.

Representatives of the Pension and Labour Offices have also been invited to the panel.

The Jamaica Consular Office is appealing to members of the community to turn out to the forum and participate with their questions and comments.

The forum will be held on Thursday, 16th October from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church Hall, Courts Road George Town.

For further information, please call the Consular Office at 949–9526.
