Nigeria: Wase Micro-Finance Bank Gives N4 Million Loan to Women

In other to improve the petty businesses of the women of Wase in Plateau State, Wase Micro-finance Bank has disbursed a loan of N4 million to over 65 women groups in the state.

Chairman of Wase Micr-finance Bank, Alhaji Ali Sa'eed, said the beneficiaries of the loan where mobilised through the local government council, village districts and ward heads in order to enable them expand their businesses.

Alhaji Sa'eed said the loans ranged from N5000 and it attracts nine per cent interest. He also called on the state government to build skills acquisition centres in the area.

In appreciation to the bank's gesture, Dr Aruna Abdullahi, Emir of Wase, thanked the bank for the opportunity and called on other micro-finance banks to emulate Wase Micro-finance Bank.
