The OpenSuse team yesterday announced the release of OpenSuse 11.1 alpha 2. In an email to users the team said: “This time it is actually installable and bootable. But you’ll need to be quick and select the right boot option from the bootmenu.”
OpenSuse 11.1 alpha 2 is available here.
This release doe not include a LiveCD version but the development team is planning an alpha 2 LiveCD next week.
The final version of OpenSuse 11.1 is scheduled to be released in December and is expected to include Linux kernel 2.6.27, KDE 4.1.1, KDE 3.5.10, Gnome 2.24 and OpenOffice.org 3.0.
