African Scientists fund for research on global environment change

Scientists in Africa who intend to conduct research on global environmental change can apply for small grants from the US START grants programme funded by the US National Science Foundation and US Climate Change Science Program. Grants, which generally do not exceed US$15,000 are for one-year projects on global environmental change in Africa.

The Application Form and further details are available at the START website here. The Pre-Proposal, which must be submitted using the Application Form, should be submitted to the International START Secretariat (start-proposals@agu.org) by midnight (US Eastern Time) on 15 August 2008.
