One of the first tenant companies of YES Incubator, a member of the infoDev Global Network of Business Incubators, won a large-scale tender of the Government of the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia in July 2008 aiming to provide free ICT trainings for more than 7000 citizens. The “Macedonia – Country of Information Technology“ program aims to extend ICTs to citizens by increasing the Internet penetration rate, PC literacy and PC access.
One of the first tenant companies of YES Incubator, Innovation Skopje won a large-scale tender of the Government of the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia in July 2008. With this program, Innovation Skopje will enhance the ICT and Internet skills of 7 854 citizens. This tender is part of a broader campaign of the Government: “Macedonia - Country of Information Technology”. As part of this program, the government provides PCs for every child and free Internet in all elementary and secondary schools. It has also introduced programs for e-Government, e-Business, e-Infrastructure, e-Health, e-Education, and e-Citizens, as well as a new ICT University and scholarships for IT students.
